6th JUNE 2019 - 75th anniversary Special Event Station located on actual departure airfield of US 101st Airborne Division in the early hours of D-Day 6th June 1944.

Boarding Douglas C-47 (Dakota) aircraft, 101st Airborne Division parachuted into Normandy, France to secure the four causeway exits behind Utah Beach between St Martin-de-Varreville and Pouppeville to protect the exit routes for the 4th Infantry Division after its beach landing on the morning of 6th June.
