Biography

Welcome to my page.

This call was my dad Jack lived in Leyland up till November 2018 when he passed away after a battle with Cancer.

I have now been reissued with his callsign G0FQN by Ofcom, which was his wish on his passing and will use as Memorial & tribute call to my wonderful dad.
My dad enjoyed Amateur radio and Steam Railways of which he spent 40 years Volunteering as a Guard and other duties on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in West Yorkshire.

My dad was a former member of Central Lancashire Amateur Club based Leyland.

In Amateur radio my dad enjoyed 40M and some DX on other bands, enjoyed doing Special Event Stations and Portable operating on HF and 2M.

During my dads earlier years he was Potholer liked going down underground around the Yorkshire Dales his club was BLACK ROSE POTHOLE CLUB PHOTO ALBUM (peacehavens.co.uk)
