Biography

I am an Irishman who lives and works in Pargauay (ZP5BVK).

I got caught in Ireland during famous Covid-19 lockdown and I had nothing much to do, so I went along to the Ham Exams in Ireland and passed, so now I am also EI4IZB. I will set up a station on the east coast of Ireland of Ireland, in due course, so I can get on the air while I'm visiting there.

As far as the log goes, all contacts go live into Ham Radio Deluxe as they happen, from where they are uploaded almost instantly to QRZ.com, HRDLog.net, eQSL, ClubLog and LOTW.

When I'm in a contest, I use N1MM+, I wait until the contest is over, tidy up the log, then upload it from N1MM+ (the best competition log in the world!) to Ham Radio Deluxe - from where all of the above happens instantly. By the way - with regard to Clublog - I haven't a clue about OQRS and I see I have some 'unfinished checkouts' ... I have no clue what that means, so if you have a problem - email me and we'll sort it out :-)

I can cover most of the traditional modes and I am QRV on 40m to 70cms - SSB, CW (still learning), RTTY, PSK, but I would rather poke my eyes out with a rusty nail than use FT8 ... sorry about that :-)

Hasta luego y 73

Gary
