Biography

I was originally licensed in Indiana during 1975 as WB9QPK going through the ranks to extra. I later obtained the call NT9k. After moving to Englewood, Florida in 1993 I obtained the call K4NF. I moved back to Indiana in 2011 and a few years later obtained my present call W9DEN.

In the past, I've had an extensive system but in 2021 I will be 78 so will be scaled down some. I intend to have a tower with a multiband HF beam, 40 & 75-meter dipoles, a quad for 2-meter SSB, and a vertical for 70cm.

I really would like to have another 6-meter beam for SSB. I really enjoyed operating there in Florida. Probably too much to count on.

For now, I enjoy VHF/UHF FM & c4fm, and 40-10 SSB.

Equipment

The equipment I use at present is:

Two Yeasu FTM400DMs and an FT3D for mobile and ham shack
in FM & C4FM Fusion modes

ZumSpot for C4FM Fusion

Icom IC7300 for HF

Icom 746 Pro for HF & 2 meters SSB

J-Pole for 2 meter & 70 centimeter

Mosley 40-10 meter trapped vertical for HF.
