Biography

I earned my first amateur Radio license (Novice) on 4/22/1975. That Novice license lapsed two years later on 4/22/1977. I graduated from High School in June of 1977.
After high school I became heavily involved in aviation. I earned my Airframe and Powerplant license. (A&P...Aircraft Mechanic) Three years later I earned my Inspection Authorization (I.A. Aircraft Inspector) certificate.
At the same time I was earning my pilot's licenses and eventually became a Boeing 747-400 Captain. I enjoyed a wonderful aviation career traveling all over the globe!
On January 12, 2019, after a 42 year absence, I earned my Technician and General class amateur radio license on the same day.
I joined The Motor City Radio Club (MCRC) in January of 2019. This Amateur Radio club was established on December 23, 1932. The MCRC conducts a 2 Meter repeater "Net" on Tuesday evenings at 2100 local time on 147.240. +600 PL 100 WY8DOT.
Two months after that, on March 9, 2019, I earned my Amateur Extra License.
On March 25, 2019 I submitted my "Extra Class Accredited Volunteer Examiner" application/Test. I was granted my credentials a week later. I look forward to doing my part to promote the Amateur Radio hobby.

Currently I am enjoying the hobby and working to improve my station.
73 for now!
