Biography
Hi my name is Robert Baird my wife's name is Linda. I was KB5JTF I am now W5JTF
We live in Fort Worth, Texas. I have been a licensed amateur radio operator since 1989. My wife Linda is also a licensed amateur radio operator, her call sign is KB5JTE we recived our calls at the same time.
I was born in Los Angeles Ca. My family and I moved to Mena (Board Camp) Arkansas in 1960. I was at the ripe old age of 7 this was a big change for me. Of that same year we moved % FT. Worth Texas (Thank God we moved back to civilization).. I have been back to Los Angeles to visit but not to live, I like Texas. I graduated from Haltom High School in Ft Worth, 1972.
The hobbies I like are building model airplanes mainly WW2 and modern military planes, R/C Race Boats (Tunnel Hydro's), R/C cars & Trucks, antique car restoration, antique radios restoration and amateur radio of all types. We are both into all type of antiques such as Old Pocket Watches, Automobiles, Furniture and many other type of odds & ends that we can find. We own a 1926 model T Ford truck, 1954 Chevy P/U.

Equipment
The radios consists of an HF. Rig Yaesu FT-450D. The radio for 2 meters is a Yaesu FTM-400XD thia is a Fusion radio, also for 70cm. The antenna consists of a Hustler 6BTV Vertical ground Monte it cover All HF bands ex. 160 meters we also have a G5RV 102' the antenna for vhf/uhf is Workmen300 vertical
