| Biography Greetings from Wageningen, The Netherlands.
As a kid I loved DX-ing. Especially TV-DX with a home brew dipole for the E02/R01 channel was great in those years.
Since I enjoyed that hobby so much I joined the Royal Dutch Navy and have been a telegrafist from august 1978 to august 1984.
After that study, work and relationships meant the end of the hobby.
In 2012 I lost my latest job after getting bladdercancer, I survived and decided to pick up the old hobby again and did the exam for Novice and passed. And since I have my past as a navy sparks, I got my CW included. So next stop now will be the F-license ;-)
But as for right now I am glad to be back with my old Navy friend the RACAL RA117.
My activities will be mostly limited to WSPR and CW on 20 mtr with a Raspberry Pi with the TAPR-shield (with the whopping power of 0,1 Watt) fed to a K-PO HVT 600 HF mobile antenne at 15 meters height. On 2 meters you might find me with APRS and Packet and on rare occassions by voice (mostly through Echolink).
However...since I do a lot of voluntary work for Alpe d'HuZes, kanker.nl and Inspire2Live, you might have a better chance of meeting me IRL I guess ;-)
Looking forward to hearing you and wishing you all good DX!
