Biography

In the early 90s I bought a simple CB radio and started with a Dirland Europa 1, then a Midland Alan 58e, followed by the the Midland Alan 48+ and 78+.

In 1995 I decided to also buy a scanner with a wide frequency range, it became the Yupiteru MVT-7100, which eventually resulted in listening to some HF conversations.

In the early 2000s I decided to stop the hobby. However, in 2023 an old friend reached out to me, he convinced me to start with Meshtastic. My first node was bought and around the same time I decided to use my RTL-SDR v4 for HF. A Youloop antenna was bought, including a Mini Whip, and here I am as a SWL.

September 2024 :: I decided to become a member of the well-known PI4DEC (PI4D) Dordtse Elektronica Club in Dordrecht.

Hopefully someone who is padding my page, is able to answer these couple of questions?:
- How do I obtain the badges of the bands i listen to? Some people have 10m/15m/20m badgets shown on their page.
- How do I obtain the badges for the DXCC50/DXCC200 etc. ?
- Can a SWL become a 'verified' member and if so, how do i obtain this?

Answers may be sent via PM.
Thanks in advance.
