Biography

Making contacts from the south of the Netherlands, from my summer QTH or /P

You will "read" or hear me with PA/ON4AWT or PA/OT7A.
Contacts are most of the time made from my summer QTH (caravan) at a small camping site @Burgh Haamstede (JO11VQ)

My IOTA location, the island of Schouwen-Duiveland (EU-146) and occasionally I will work /P

I am close to two PAFF locations so maybe you can also catch me activating PAFF-0113 or PAFF-0015.
On the North West part of the island, @ Nieuw Haamstede, there is a lighthouse called Westerlight. The locator for the lighthouse is JO11UR.

It is listed in two lists, each with different numbering
ARLHS list nr. : NET 029.
The ARLHS is a list of the world's lighthouses by the Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society. You can find the website at http://wlol.arlhs.com/

ILLW list nr. : NL0001 (West Schouwen/Haamstede )
The International Lightship Lighthouse weekend (ILLW) with Mike Dalrymple – GM4SUC (SK 21/12/2005) as founder. It grew from the seed of the “Northern Lights“ weekend in Scotland.

Equipment

The rig is a Icom IC-7300

The antenna is a inverted (Sloped) L antenna with 3 ground wires on the surface each about 20 meter long.
It is tuned with a SG-239 smarttuner on all the HF bands from 10 to 160 meter. The tuner sits in a waterproof cabinet. The tuner manual does not say anything on the 6 meter band, but it tunes ok. No idea how good the system is but hey I'm in the air on 6 meter ...

Laptop with second screen to control the radio and log with Ham Radio deluxe.
Contacts are updated on my online logs.

Most of the time I use Digi modes like FT8 and PSK so other guests on the campside don't get disturbed. Sometimes you find me making contacts in phone ...
