Biography
Hello!
I'm Alex (M1BSX), and I have been licensed here in the UK since 1997, although only been active again recently (2020!) after taking time out for university and work. I'm keen to get back up to speed!
Outside of hobbies, I have been working as a theoretical physicist on the modelling and prediction of radiative transfer, imaging theory, hydrodynamics, atmospheric turbulence, surface scatter theory, microwave waveguide characterisation of materials, synthetic aperture radar, and nanophotonics, generally across both the EO and RF teams.
My current focus is on developing computational models for electromagnetic scattering processes - with an emphasis on surface scatter (e.g. oceans, materials), as well as a better understanding of novel Low Observables technologies.
I am particularly interested in delving through the "grey literature" in search of innovation, especially that developed in the heady days of Bell Labs, RAND, and the like.
