Biography

I am fairly new to Amateur radio, having been licensed only since 2007. I joined because I wanted to serve; it's my nature. I do a good number of service events, some nets, and try to learn as much as I can each day. That just means I have a tremendous amount to learn yet.

Equipment

I began with an Icon 90A HT, provided by my employer. Since then I've purchased the Kenwood D710 and 281, as well as the K20a HT. It seems I've landed on Kenwood, doesn't it. I have an IC7000 that I've been playing with.
My HF experience is limited to Winlink/Emcomm and I have been through the Auxcomm classes.
I joined the Winlink HTML forms team to help where I can but was not much help. To say I am a HTML coder is a huge stretch but I do dable. I have some contact with CSS; enough to spell it, but much less with Java. I do, however, like coffee!
I participate in the Plano Balloon Festival and I've helped out with the Dallas Marathon; all as amateur radio operator.
