Biography

First licensed as KN0CHD in 1955. Conditional class in '56. Worked 2 meter CW and phone and 20 meter CW. License expired in 1972.
Graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1967 with a BSEE.
Started working for McDonnell Aircraft in 1962 as a lab tech in the Antenna Lab. Stayed with the company as it changed from McDonnell Aircraft to McDonnell Douglas to Boeing. Retired in June 2012 after 50 years with the company. Obtained Extra class license in 2013 as AF5KL. Requested and obtained vanity call K5ESS just because I thought it had such a great CW rhythm. (I haven't put together a CW rig yet to take advantage of it.)
Starting to build projects with Arduino and PIC microprocessors.
