Equipment
I use a Yaesu FT-817 at 2W for PSK. I have used up to 2.5 Megawatts PEP for short wave broadcasting with 22 dB gain antennas in my professional career, so QRP has some appeal to me. SSB phone with Alinco or Yaesu rigs and Collins 30L-1 linear amp only used if needed. Antennas are 80-meter dipole up 40 feet, a full wave 80-meter horizontal loop dipole at 30 feet. 50, 144 and 432 MHz omnidirectional stacked loops. Mobile with Yaesu 50W on 2 meters. I keep a sked with old buddies on 3675 each Tuesday at 8 AM local time. Call in anytime and say hello.
