Biography

This is my first license issued in the mid 80's, the log book entries are from that period.

Then in early 1987 gained my 'A' class license and was subsequently issued with my 'A' call sign which is G0GLG.
I Spent the first half of my life in HM Forces (both Army then RAF) then worked for British Telecom as an engineer before retiring in 2013..

Radio is an FT991A running 100 watts and as I only have a small garden I have to use a vertical broadband antenna, this is a Comet CHA250BXII HF/6M vertical at 12M AGL on a wind up tower. Tunes up well over the complete HF bands from 80M through 6M. I also have a 2m/70cm collinear for the VHF/UHF bands.
