Biography

Hello to all!
My name is Frank and friends call me by my middle name Duane. I was first licensed in 1985 KB4LYV as a novices then N4MON as a General, KK4FO Advanced License, and finally as AB4BE as an Extra Class. This was completed within 3 years.

This is a great hobby and one I wished I had known about in my High School years. I truly believed it would have changed my direction in life at that time. It has made me become a constant learner even now into my 60's I'm still learning ! Currently I am self studying C++ computer programing for micro controllers for my Arduino projects. This is a hobby I believe should be in every High School to reach out to young adults. I could be the very thing to change the direction of many lives.

Equipment

My equipment currently is very simple. IC718 mobile used at home on a 30amp power supply. An Inverted V antenna 30 feet high at 17feet above sea level. Use a Home Brew Antenna Tuner sometimes. My first Radio was a Drake TR4C (loved it!)a home brewed 1.5 KW amplifier.
