Biography

I first learned about Ham radios when I was around 8 years old thru my dad. My dad was in the navy as a radio man and would try to teach me morse code and for some reason wanted me to get my ham radio lic. Well at that age learning CW and becoming a ham radio operator wasn't in my plans. I never forgot about it thru the years I try to learn CW just never could get interested in learning it enough to be able to pass the test.
I am 56 mow and have been a ham for 4 years after they took away the code requirement. When I started working on getting my extra class ticket I made the dession that I would learn enough code that I could make ! contact for my log so no one could call me a no code extra . I started studying it and found out I really like it so I would rather do CW than SSB anytime
