Biography

I was first licensed sometime in January 1975 as a Novice with the callsign WN6IZG. Then in March 1976 I passed my General class license and became WB6IZG. Followed in April 1979 when I upgraded to Advanced. Several years after this I became inactive for over 20 years. Then in mid 2017 I got back again into ham radio. This is my current setup above.

I have tried a little of everything from DX (earned DXCC and WAC) to Amateur Television. Now I spend most of my time primarily on CW with the SKCC (Straight Key Century Club). Current station is a Yaesu FTDX3000 with an Elecraft KPA500 amplifier. Antennas consist of a Mosley 20,15, 10 M trapped dipole, an end fed half wave wire for 80-10M, and a Create log periodic CLP-5130-1 for VHF and UHF.
