Biography

Grew up listening, almost took the plunge ~25 years ago as a young adult -- but finally did back in 2018. I enjoy many aspects of the hobby, including learning about other cultures by talking with operators from around the world, through QSO cards, etc. I'm medically disabled but have a background in healthcare and academia. Now when I feel like it, I play radio and keep track of world events, science, news, etc. online.

Equipment

Usually running QRP 5W or less into homebrew 80-15M magloop. I work FT8 or CW (learning) mainly unless I'm portable and can use 100W to have easier phone QSOs.
