Biography

Licenced Amateur radio operator since 1992. Active CW Operator, My wife is also a HAM ,call is VU2LYL (OP LATHA). Our harmonic is OB Arjun .

I am very much interested in home brewing activities. I have designed and made differant types of radios , TRX and linear Amplifiers etc. Currently using my Home made 4 band all mode TRX in 4 active bands. Other Radios are KENWOOD TS-140S , Yaesu FT-757GXII. I have made a 1000W Antenna Tuner and using it with my 600W solid state linear Amplifier. Antennas are multiband 5 element Yagi build for for HF , inverted " V " dipole Antenna for 40 mtrs and same for 15M , 20M activity is with another Inverted "V" , the same loaded with loading coil using for 80M.

I am not much active in VHF /UHF but having few BAOFENG radios like UV3R , UV6R, UV9R, and one icom IC229E base.

Other Hobbies are experimenting Electronics and micro controller (microchip)programming , projects with Arduinos, Raspberrypi etc. Digital Photography , Internet browsing & reading , Music listening , Singing & Playing Hawaiian Guitar , Mechanical designing and constructing things for my hobby use etc are the other hobbies.

Profession is working in R&D Department for Verdant Telemetry and Antenna Systems, Cochin , Kerala.
