Biography

Dear Visitor, Greetings! I am an electronic engineer by profession and hobby! I have been interested in ham radio since the late 1980s when I was in high school and I take an active interest in HF operation, SWL, homebrewing and restoration/repair of radios. I run an IC718 or a TK80 or a FT747, an ancient ICOM marine M800 and sometimes a partially working FT1000D. My antenna is a 60 feet doublet fed with ladder line, about 270 feet above ground on the rooftop of an apartment building, and depending on the man made noise in my heavily urban location, near New Delhi, the capital of India, I am QRV from 80 till 10m! I am mostly barefoot except very rarely I run a 4 x GU50 homebrew amplifier to keep the tubes warm HI HI!


I am more active on HF during the weekends, mostly on FT8 and if the band is open on SSB or straight key CW too.
