Biography

Born 1957

1975 I trained as an Air Electronics Officer (RAAF) including Military Communications procedures covering CW, RTTY and of course RT. I later worked as a Communications Procedures instructor.

Got my Ham licence in 2017 and 96% of my contacts are CW.

I enjoy chasing DX. I also greatly enjoy getting away from the suburbs into the Australian bush -with SOTA being my main focus.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

IC-7300
KIO Hex Beam (20m, 15m, 10m, 6m)
Begali Blade is my "daily driver" for my base station.

For SOTA - KX-2, FT-817, FT-857, MTR4B, (depending on the summit and whether I hike or drive to the summit! J-37 Leg Strap key. A simple EFHW antenna.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
