RP72FP (Fedor Poletaev)

Participant of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, participant of the Italian resistance movement, national hero of Italy, Hero of the Soviet Union (1962, posthumously).

Fyodor Andrianovich Poletaev was born on May 14, 1909 in the village of Katino of the Skopinsky County of the Ryazan province in a country family.

In August, 1941 Fyodor Poletaev was mobilized by the Horlivka RVK. Was at war in the 28th Guards artillery regiment of the 9th Guards shooting division, in July, 1942 it was seriously injured and was taken prisoner.

Fyodor Poletaev passed through a number of Nazi concentration camps in the territory of the USSR and the countries of Europe. In the summer of 1944 ran from a concentration camp in the neighborhood of Genoa (Italy) and entered the Italian guerrilla battalion of crew "Orest". Was involved in many combat operations against Hitlerites.

On February 2, 1945 Fyodor Poletayev heroically was killed in battle with the German chasteners in Vallée-Scrivia's valley at the city of Kantalupo. It is buried with military honors at the cemetery in the town of Roketta. After war it is reburied in Genoa at the memorial cemetery "Stalyeno".

Fyodor Andrianovich Poletaev is awarded the Italian government awards - the gold medal "For Military Valour" on a blue moire tape and a bronze five-pointed star - a sign of the fighter of Garibaldiysky guerrilla crew. On December 26, 1962 the Decree of Presidium of the Supreme Council of USSR to Fyodor Andrianovich Poletayev posthumously gave the rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Фёдор Андрианович Полетаев родился 14 мая 1909 года в селе Катино Скопинского уезда Рязанской губернии в крестьянской семье.

В августе 1941 года Фёдор Полетаев был мобилизован Горловским РВК. Воевал в 28-ом гвардейском артиллерийском полку 9-й гвардейской стрелковой дивизии, в июле 1942 года был тяжело ранен и попал в плен.

Фёдор Полетаев прошёл через ряд нацистских концлагерей на территории СССР и стран Европы. Летом 1944 года бежал из концлагеря в окрестностях Генуи (Италия) и вступил в итальянский партизанский батальон бригады «Орест». Участвовал во многих боевых операциях против гитлеровцев.

2 февраля 1945 года Фёдор Полетаев геройски погиб в бою с немецкими карателями в долине Валле-Скривия у города Канталупо. Похоронен с воинскими почестями на кладбище в местечке Рокетта. После войны перезахоронен в Генуе на мемориальном кладбище «Стальено».

Фёдор Андрианович Полетаев удостоен итальянских правительственных наград - золотой медали «За военную доблесть» на синей муаровой ленте и бронзовой пятиконечной звезды - знака бойца Гарибальдийской партизанской бригады. 26 декабря 1962 года Указом Президиума Верховного Совета Союза ССР Фёдору Андриановичу Полетаеву было посмертно присвоено звание Героя Советского Союза.
