Biography

Allstar node 48211 LIVE!

I was born in Sacramento in 1968 and grew up in and Vacaville, California. I've also lived in El Cajon in the late 80's. In the summer 2015 my beautiful wife, son, our dogs and I all moved to Grants Pass and love it here. We may move to the Northern Florida area mayhaps within the next couple years.

I was licensed on February 16, 2018. VHF is my main squeeze. 6 meters, 2 meter SSB, 220, and satelite. I can often be found on FT8 and FT4. I enjoy antenna and feedline projects. I'm building a SOTA/POTA kit that I hope to have on the air by spring. I've never run more than a 100 watts and have no plans to. GMRS call WRAQ311.

Equipment

Radios in use as of July 2023: Yaesu FTDX-10, MFJ-9406, IC-7300 (retired), IC-705 (I would like to trade this for a KX2), Yaesu 991A, Kenwood TM-V71, Yaesu FT-2980R, RT9000D. Plus a dozen or so HT's. Current antennas are a 73' MyAntenna EFHW 160-6m, MP1 Super antenna, Diamond CP22E, ZS6BKW, an Elk 220L6, an Elk 2M/440L5, Cushcraft AR-6, and whatever piece of wire I throw up in the air for the day.
