Biography

Welcome my name is James Alexander, MW1BAJ
My QTH is in Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; Welsh pronunciation: [ɬaˈnɛɬi]), the largest town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed.
Llanelli sits overlooking the Loughor estuary on the West Wales coast, approximately 10 miles (16 km) west-northwest of Swansea and 12 miles (19 km) south-east of the county town, Carmarthen.
The town is famous for its proud rugby tradition and is a centre of tinplate production.

My Grid is IO71wp, CQ Zone 14, ITU Zone 27, WAB Square SS59.

Using DXLab Suite most QSOs should be updated in real-time to QRZ, LOTW, EQSL, ClubLog.

I was first licensed in 1996 and active on 70cms, 23cms and 3cms Amateur Television(ATV) for a number of years.
I took some time off, well 18 years to be precise and returned to radio in November 2018.

My operation is simple with a Yaesu FT897D and LDG ATU connected to 20m End fed antenna in the roof space.

A Vertical Collinear for 2M and 70CMs.

I currently operate FT8, JT65, RTTY SSB on most HF Bands and VHF plus ATV
