Biography

I also hold the call G1ZPU.
First licensed in 1987, used to be active on VHF/UHF mostly voice & packet radio.

Now active as M0ZPU
Chairman of The Cambridgeshire Repeater Group, responsible for 14 repeaters/systems under the CRG banner, including the first licensed voice repeater in the UK - GB3PI. More details on the CRG website - www.cambridgerepeaters.net

Active on VHF/ UHF voice - analogue FM, DMR, D-Star, C4FM, SSB.
Active on HF - mostly data (FT8, RTTY, PSK etc.) from home QTH, quite often found on 10m

Active within the "Camb-Hams", which is the social side of the Cambridgeshire Repeater Group.
We meet monthly for our "PYE & Pint" meetings where members chat about all things radio & tech over a meal. More details on the Camb-Hams website - www.camb-hams.com

The Camb-Hams help the RSGB run a number of events, including the RSGB Convention where we help with AV equipment, room setup, the special event station GB3HQ, and general setup for the event.

We also help out with the National Hamfest where we operate the special event station, and provide a focal point for people to come and have a chat.

The Camb-Hams is very informal, and that's why it's proven to be popular. To operate with us at an event, or in a contest, we ask that you be a member of the CRG so that you are covered by our insurance, and also a member of the affiliated society.
