Biography

I return 100% on paper QSL cards. If you send me one I will send one back.

My QTH is Chester, Texas. I received my Technician ticket in 2013 along with my dad KF5YDH and my General and Extra on the same day in 2014. I’ve been involved in radios and electronics most of my life. I have been with emergency services in one form or another since I was 16 years old. I’ve been just about every position from cadet, EMS, rescue all the way to fire chief. I had a minor heart attack in 2011 and that put an end to my firefighting and so now I mainly work in the county emergency operations center and work with ARES and soon RACES as well. I am a member of the Tyler County Amateur Radio Association and currently hold the position of Secretary and Treasurer. I am a Volunteer Examiner with W5YI as well as ARRL and I hold regular classes for Technician and General exams. Currently my favorite modes are FT8 and JT-65 but I have started dabbling in spinning the dial and trying my hand at a little SSB Rag-Chewing. I am currently working on getting my business up and running. I have decided to combine my vocation of machinist and my love of amateur radio and building antennas. I intend to manufacture antennas and other accessories and selling them online. I use QRZ, LOtW and eQSL. Please confirm any QSOs as many different ways as possible. ‘73’ and God Bless

UPDATE: If I see on your QRZ profile that you will return a QSL card and don't require postage I will be sending you one of my own. If you have already sent me one of your QSl cards then I will 100% return. At this time I can't afford to send to international addresses unles you send one first. ‘73’ and God Bless de KF5YDG
