Biography

With the help and encouragement of a few friends i worked with in Longview WA I obtained my Novice Class license and started operating WN7NAV. Progressed to General Class license WB7NAV, moved to Advanced Class & was issued N7AOT, and participated in the Mt St Helens Volcano disaster working from a relief center in Castle Rock WA. On the heels of the Mt St Helens volcano we moved to Arthur ILL and ham radio operation consisted of a HealthKit 2 meter rig in my car with DTMF (big deal in those days). We moved from Illinois to Lodi California in 1983, with ham radio being off & on between raising a family and going to school. After living in California 40 years I decided to get active again, passed the Amateur Extra exam and changed my call to N6DT so I could be a local ham as well as being fortunate enough to obtain a call sign that reflex's my interest digital modes such as FT-8 on HF and DMR & Allstar on the VHF/UFH bands

I still work full time as a tax professional assisting people with sever tax problems and assist assisting ham radio clubs with becoming Non-Profit organizations.

Always glad to hear from fellow hams.
